Rainfall amounts last month were well below normal for most observers and less than was reported in October — almost like the two months were switched around weather-wise. December is remaining on the dry side as well.
We are currently in the weather doldrums of winter with gray skies and cool temperatures. Not much change until a cold front drops down from Alaska and brings rain and much needed mountain snow Wednesday. Snow levels behind the front will be down to the foothills, but moisture will be waning. The snow pack is meager, to say the least. Skies may clear by late Monday or Tuesday if we get some easterly winds in here.
Any cold and snow heading our way? Nope, and if you are dreaming of a white Christmas, keep dreaming, wishing and hoping. That is all we can do at this point.
