Carol Shelley was listed in critical condition Wednesday night at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.

The 54-year-old Tacoma woman was injured when the pickup she was driving was struck head-on by a Hyundai Elantra last week on Interstate 205 southbound. The collision occurred around 2 p.m. Dec. 4, just north of Padden Parkway.

The driver of the Elantra, Craig Johnson, 42, died on scene. Shelley has been in the hospital ever since. The Washington State Patrol continues investigating the collision.
