A second-half comeback fell short for Camas on Wednesday.

Trailing by 12 at halftime on the road, Camas clawed back behind Nikki Corbett. The 6-foot-2 junior post had 18 points and 13 rebounds.

Southridge had to make late free throws to deny Camas in the final minute.

“We kept chipping away,” said assistant coach Randy Rice. “We played a lot of lineups with two or three freshmen on the court. But we kept battling to the end.”
