Clark County Public Health seeks bicultural/bilingual volunteers to help pregnant women complete applications and access services, and to help families learn how to access health care.
Council for the Homeless’ Winter Overflow Program needs day shift coverage at the single men’s shelter at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Teams of two are needed for four-hour shifts.
Friends of the Carpenter seeks volunteer woodworkers to work in their home shops or on site. Volunteers are also needed to help with hospitality, transportation, events, activities, marketing, newsletters and mailings, as a homeless court advocate and at the thrift store.
Impact NW — Kids on the Block seeks volunteers to work in teams of two, presenting educational puppet programs to school and community groups. Topics include drug abuse prevention, healthy eating and physical activity, personal safety and child abuse. Training and materials are provided.

Rocksolid Community Teen Center is looking for a youth mentor to help in the cafe, play games with teens, teach crafts or help with gym activities.
The Salvation Army seeks personal shoppers, 8:30 a.m. to noon or 12:30 to 4 p.m., Dec. 19 and 20, to help families select gifts for children from its Toy and Joy store.
YMCA’s Sexual Assault Program is looking for advocates to provide telephone and in-person support to victims/survivors and their families. Initial responsibilities include answering the crisis line and accompanying victims at the hospital during their medical exams.
YWCA Clark County is looking for volunteers to set up its Holiday Shop where participants may select gifts for their families. Help move tables, decorate and sort donated gifts, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 17, and 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 18; and wrap gifts, 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 19. Volunteers must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 25 pounds.
