2013 TEAM SCRAMBLE MATH CONTEST

Union High School students won 10th place in the 2013 Team Scramble, a national mathematics contest administered by National Assessment & Testing. Coached by Shayma Shaheen, the students answered 100 problems in a variety of mathematical topics in 30 minutes.

Mountain View High School students finished 22nd nationwide in the same contest and were coached by Barbara Elliott.

CONGRESS OF FUTURE MEDICAL LEADERS

Nicholas Carney, a junior at Hockinson High School, has been nominated to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Washington, D.C., in February. The Congress is a program for high school students who want to become physicians or go into medical research fields.
