Connell graduates from pilot training

Kristen Connell, 2008 graduate of Camas High School, and 2012 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, graduated from pilot training at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Okla., on Nov. 15.

Her class of 20 students began training in October 2012, and received their initial academic instruction and ground training followed by flight training.

Second Lt. Connell is assigned to fly the C-130J at Little Rock Air Force Base in Little Rock, Ark.

She is the daughter of John and Jane Connell of Camas.

Clark College sponsors financial aid night

This Wednesday specialists from Clark College’s financial aid office will be on hand to answer questions from prospective students and parents about navigating the world of financial aid.

The annual event provides information about the admission process, scholarship opportunities, grants and loans, how to apply and more.

Financial Aid Night will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Clark College’s main campus, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.
