People in business

• Jenny Carlson and Chad Gipson have joined OBEC Consulting Engineers as senior project manager and project engineer, respectively. They both work at the firm’s office in Vancouver. Carlson has extensive experience in the heavy civil industry, including designing and managing complex civil engineering projects. Prior to joining OBEC, she was a manager of engineering for WorleyParsons. Gipson has been designing marine structures for the last seven years after graduating with a degree in civil engineering from Washington State University. He also previously worked at WorleyParsons.

• Jenna Kroll was named Associate of the Year by the Building Industry Association of Washington for her involvement with the local BIA chapter through membership recruitment, committee involvement, volunteering and assisting in changes within the local chapter to improve the building industry. She is a producer at Bigg’s Insurance Services in Vancouver.

Other business news

• Willem’s on Main, 907 Main St., announced new hours beginning Tuesday. The neighborhood restaurant which opened in late October, will now be open seven days a week. Lunch will be served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday; dinner will be served from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. www.willemsonmain.com or 360-258-0989.
