A holiday tradition returns as Northwest Classical Ballet presents the ballet “The Nutcracker.” Join Clara as she ventures into the land of sugar plum fairies, snow queens and rat kings with her Nutcracker prince. The production features the company’s professional and pre-professional dancers led by Artistic Director Maricar Drilon.

2. Home for the holidays
There will be a citywide Hometown Celebration in the heart of Ridgefield. The festivities begin with an ugly-Christmas-sweater run at 9 a.m. with 5K and 10K routes, followed by community arts and crafts bazaars, concerts by local ensembles in Overlook Park, and the arrival of Santa at Sterling Bank. There will be a living nativity presentation by the Ridgefield United Methodist Church at noon at the Old Liberty Theater, trailer rides and the community tree-lighting at 4:30 p.m. with sing-a-long.
