Girls basketball: Ridgefield 52, Sprague 45

Shannon Boyle scored 23 points as the Spudders opened their season with a win over the visitors from Salem, Ore.

An 18-5 second quarter helped Ridgefield build a double-digit lead. The Spudders held the Olympians to 14 field goals and won despite the visitors attempting 19 more free throws.
