Washington State University’s Clark County Extension is offering Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Business Planning, a 10-week course designed to help entrepreneurs develop a business plan for agricultural enterprises.
The course, held Wednesday evenings from Jan. 15 through March 19, will help new and existing farmers gain skills in business planning and important aspects of operating a sustainable business. Special emphasis will be placed on direct marketing, record keeping, and financial and legal issues unique to agricultural businesses. Guest speakers will include farm marketing specialists, accountants, attorneys, agricultural professionals and local farm owners who will provide models for sustainable agricultural through their farming and marketing experiences.
Registration is $100 per farm or family; class size is limited to the first 30 participants. Most sessions will be held at the Clark County Public Works Building, 4700 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver.
