The city of Camas will pick from three names in choosing its next city administrator.
Finalists for the position are Pete Capell, Clark County Public Works director; Joe Hannan, city administrator for Mukilteo; and Peter Mayer, deputy director for Snohomish Health District in Everett, who is the former director of Vancouver-Clark Parks & Recreation. A consulting firm hired by the city, Waldron, narrowed down the field of candidates. Interviews will take place Thursday at City Hall, with the goal of having someone in place by Jan. 1.
Camas’ next city administrator will replace Nina Regor, who died in October after less than a year on the job.
“Those involved in the selection process know how important this position is to the city and Camas community as a whole,” Mayor Scott Higgins said in a release, “and I have every confidence the process will give us a great administrator.”
