Boys basketball: Columbia River 67, Evergreen 60

A fast start and solid foul shooting carried the visiting Chieftains to victory.

Columbia River led throughout and built a 24-11 lead in the first quarter. Evergreen briefly pulled within four points.

Torey Jones scored 16 points and Chad Pedigo had 15 to lead the Chieftains, who converted 26 of 39 free throws. Andrew Vickers and Nate Hawthorne each added 10 points.

Robert Franks scored 28 points and had a dozen rebounds to lead the Plainsmen. Jalen Ballard scored 11 points off the bench for Evergreen.
