Let the debate begin.
Does a one-loss Auburn team, fresh off its thrilling win over top-ranked Alabama, deserve a berth in the BCS title game over undefeated Ohio State?
Despite Ohio State’s weak Big Ten schedule, the Buckeyes are No. 2 in the BCS standings released Sunday, comfortably ahead of the No. 3 Tigers.
That means Ohio State and Florida State will likely play for the national title if both win their conference title games on Saturday.
Should that happen, it would guarantee the mighty SEC will not boast a national champion for the first time since the 2005 season, when Texas beat USC.
