Crestline Elementary School groundbreaking ceremony planned

Members of the Evergreen Public Schools community are invited to the official groundbreaking for the new building at the Crestline Elementary School Site from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at 13003 S.E. Seventh St. The school was destroyed by a Feb. 3 fire.

The new school was designed by LSW Architects and is being constructed by Skanska USA Building Inc. It is the same design as Endeavour Elementary School, 2701 N.E. Four Seasons Lane,. The new building will be ready for the 2014-15 school year.

For the upcoming 2013-14 school year, the approximately 500 students and 50 staff members will be housed at the temporary Crestline Elementary School in the Hewlett Packard/SEH America building, 18110 S.E. 34th St.

Evergreen Public Schools open Wednesday.
