A 21-year-old Clark County motorcyclist was listed in serious condition Wednesday at a local hospital, an improvement from the weekend.

Saturday night, Michael Scoggins, 21, was riding a 2006 Kawasaki EX250 north on Northeast 152nd Avenue when he collided with a 2000 Chrysler minivan that was traveling east on Northeast 144th Street. The driver of the minivan, Denni Hamilton-Levonian, 55, of Clark County reportedly did not see the motorcycle and pulled in front of the rider about 11:45 p.m., Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Duncan Hoss said. Scoggins was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was then listed in critical condition.

No citations have been issued, but the sheriff’s office Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate.
