Clark County Public Health officials believe county residents may have been exposed to measles after a contagious traveler attended a tennis tournament in Beaverton, Ore.
Although most people in the area have been vaccinated, Clark County Public Health says people should know their vaccination history and be alert for any symptoms.
The contagious traveler visited the metro area Aug. 14 to 17 for the United State Tennis Association Pacific Northwest Juniors Sectional Tennis Tournament in Washington County, making stops at various local businesses and tennis courts.
Measles poses the highest risk to infants, pregnant women, people who have not been vaccinated and those with weakened immune systems.
Anyone with questions about measles can contact their primary care provider or Clark County Public Health at 360-397-8022.
