La Center will shine bright with its Our Days community celebration, featuring a cruise-in, an extreme tug-of-war, kid zone carnival, cutest baby contest, music by Abby Roadster, the AcoustaCats, Rae Gordon and Gaddis Cavenah along with a community dance in the street at 8 p.m. The annual Barbershop in the Park competition features a cappella groups as they harmonize their stripes off at 4 p.m. Sunday.

2. Horns, keys and rhythms
You can spend the day tasting wine, browsing fine art and relaxing in the park while jazz and blues bands fill the stage. Five-time Grammy-winning singer and pianist Marcia Ball, the Brubeck Brothers Jazz Quartet, Elvin Bishop and 10-time Grammy winners Take 6 will headline tonight’s performance at the Vancouver Wine and Jazz Festival. Virtuoso guitarist Johnny A., jazz pianist David Benoit, and award-winning duo of David Sanborn and Bob James will close out the festival finale Sunday.

Clark County’s Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy presents “Les Misérables.” The story is set against the backdrop of revolutionary France, following ex-convict Jean Valjean as he tries to create a life after his time in prison by offering to care for Cosette, the daughter of downtrodden Fantine. But ruthless policeman Javert is still intent on seeing him behind bars.
