The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information about Timothy Alsip, who reportedly approached a bank teller today and handed over a note reading, “This is a hold up. Give me a dollar.”
Alsip, 50, was given $1 and then went and sat in the lobby at Bank of America, 9171 S.E. 82nd Ave., and waited for deputies to arrive. He was arrested and taken to Clackamas County Jail to be booked on a robbery charge.
According to an updated news release, deputies have dealt with Alsip “several times this last week due to strange behavior. Alsip has flagged down citizens prompting them to call law enforcement or flagged down law enforcement himself. He has been complaining of various problems which don’t seem to exist. The issues he has reported to deputies include being hit by a car, pain in his mouth due to dental issues and overdosing on drugs.”
Deputies said Alsip’s behavior “is consistent with the behavior he has displayed over the last week.”
