Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler’s office is sponsoring three workshops this week in Southwest Washington for current and prospective entrepreneurs looking for business assistance.
The first of these “Entrepreneurship Workshops” will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Fort Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St. in Vancouver. Other workshops are scheduled for Thursday in Chehalis and Kelso. Information about those events is available at Herrera Beutler’s website.
Representatives will be on hand from the Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Centers, SCORE — an education and mentorship nonprofit association supported by the SBA — local colleges and community lending institutions. Topics will include gaining access to capital, understanding business tax structure, and utilizing social media in marketing.
The events are free and open to the public. No RSVP is necessary.
