PORTLAND — The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public’s help in identifying an ID thief that is using stolen credit cards taken from a stroller at the Oregon Zoo.

The victim was at the Oregon Zoo in the evening of July 12 when someone stole her wallet out of her child’s stroller. The victim told police that she went into the restroom and brought the stroller in with her and left it outside of the stall. She heard someone enter the restroom then leave without using the restroom. Later in the evening, she realized her wallet was missing and canceled all her credit cards.

A suspect began using her credit cards in various Portland area businesses, and detectives are now releasing surveillance images of a man who used the victim’s credit card at a Portland area grocery store.

The suspect is a white male adult with short brown hair, a goatee, facial hair and a distinct tattoo on his upper right arm.

Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to submit it to CrimeTips@PortlandOregon.gov, reference Portland Police Bureau Case No. 13-57789.
