‘Stuff the Bus’ school supply drive to benefit local students
A “Stuff the Bus” school supply drive to benefit kids in the Washougal School District is currently underway at Wal-Mart in Vancouver.
Donations can be made through Aug. 23 in large bins located just inside the front doors of the Wal-Mart located at 430 S.E. 192nd Ave., in Vancouver.
Donations being requested include the following: Backpacks, colored and No. 2 pencils, binders, 12-inch rulers, hand sanitizer, book covers, calculators, composition notebooks, 24-count boxes of crayons, black and white comp books, dry erase markers, highlighters, glue and glue sticks, pencil pouches and boxes, index cards, socks and underwear, pencil sharpeners, pens, pocketed foders, erasers, safety scissors, one subject notebooks, tissues, filler paper, storage bags and washable markers.
Donations will be distributed to students in need through the Washougal Schools Foundation.

Young children in Clark County could be eligible for free preschool and childcare through Educational Opportunities for Children and Families.
