Riverview Community Bank said Monday that it exceeded its goal of lending $100 million to individuals and local businesses within a 12-month period by originating more than $134 million in new loans over the past year.

Riverview, the only bank based in Clark County, launched the $100 million goal for local lending in July, 2012.

The bank said in a news release that it worked with applicants on custom financing options and initiated a new program for high-quality mortgages.

Pat Sheaffer, Riverview’s chairman and chief executive officer, said the bank has set a new goal of $200 million for the next 12 months.
