A man used a handgun to demand money from a convenience store clerk in Clark County’s Sunnyside Neighborhood early Friday morning.

A white man, described as a heavyset man in his 20s wearing a black jacket with a hood walked into the Minit Mart at 9511 N.E. 76th St. just after 5 a.m., Sgt. Duncan Hoss said.

He pointed a handgun at the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, Hoss said.

No one was injured.

The man reportedly left on foot, heading eastbound on 76th Street. A police canine unit searched the area, but did not find the suspect.

If anyone has any information about the crime, they are asked to call the Clark County Sheriff’s Office at 360-397-6195.
