A 17-year-old boy faces a charge of first-degree assault for allegedly slicing another man’s neck during a dispute, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Officers were called to 4701 N.E. 72nd Ave. at 2:13 a.m. Friday for a reported assault with a weapon. They arrived and learned that there had been a fight between two males and that a 17-year-old had cut the neck of an 18-year-old, police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.
The names of the suspect and victim were not released.
The victim suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. He was transported to a hospital for treatment, Kapp said.
The teen was arrested and booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center.
