Deena Pierott, founder of iUrban Teen Tech, a program that educates minority children about career opportunities in science, technology and engineering, will speak on “What You Can Do to Promote Race Unity in Vancouver” at 1 p.m. There’ll be food and music at 2 p.m.

Race Unity Day is an annual national observance sponsored by members of the Baha’i faith and inaugurated in 1957 by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of the United States.
