Medical clinics across Clark County are offering free back-to-school vaccines to families without regular health care providers.

All vaccines required for school are free for those 19 and younger, but some providers might charge an administrative fee. Parents who cannot afford the fee may ask to have it waived, according to a new release from Clark County Public Health.

Children who are not fully immunized might be sent home from school if a disease outbreak occurs, according to health officials.

The following clinics are taking part in the free vaccine program:

• Sea Mar Community Health Centers: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at 7140 E. Delaware Lane in Vancouver. 360-566-4402.

• Lacamas Medical Group: 2 to 6 p.m. Aug. 13 at 3240 N.E. Third Ave. in Camas. 360-838-2440.

• Sea Mar at Battle Ground High School: 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 16 at 400 W. Main St. in Battle Ground. 360-566-4427 or 360-566-4410.

• Free Clinic of Southwest Washington: 5 p.m. Aug. 28 and Sept. 25 at 4100 Plomondon St. in Vancouver. First come, first served. 360-313-1390.

Parents should bring the child’s immunization records when getting vaccines.
