Business name: Acne Treatment Center.
Owners: Jane Dudik.
Address: 222 N.E. Park Plaza Drive, Suite 110.
What the business does: In the simplest terms, Jane Dudik said her office offers clear skin treatment to people of all ages who have acne. Effective treatment sometimes can change a person’s life, Dudik says. For example, one young man in his mid-20s with severe cystic acne was brought into her clinic by his clear-skinned brother. The brother with acne didn’t have a job, and he hid in his apartment. By his third visit he was smiling and shaking Dudik’s hand.
Dudik said the majority of her clients have already been to a dermatologist. Dudik’s protocol, which she said works 95 percent of the time, is based on the work of the late James Fulton, a medical doctor who was one of the foremost acne researchers in history. She says the treatment she uses clears the skin using a combination of targeted in-office treatments and carefully-guided home care. Even with patients who have struggled for years, Dudik said the treatment is usually effective in three to four months.
Steps to build the business: Most clients come through her website or by word of mouth. Her office gets inquiries from all over the world, as well as the United States. She has clients from southern Oregon to Seattle and from the coast to eastern Washington. A typical office treatment costs $75 per visit, she said.
