Sections of Padden Parkway will close for the weekend beginning at 10 p.m. today for paving and repairs. The work will continue until 5 a.m. Monday.

The closure will affect eastbound lanes of Padden Parkway between Northeast Andresen Road and 94th Avenue.

A second round of construction is expected for the following weekend from 10 p.m. Aug. 9 to 5 a.m. Aug. 12.

Both closures will close or restrict some on- and off-ramps for Interstate 205 at Padden Parkway.

Andresen and 94th Avenue will remain open during the road work, according to Clark County, and drivers can avoid construction by detouring to Northeast 76th/78th Street, while I-205 can be reached by driving south to State Route 500 on Andresen or 94th Avenue.

Updates will be posted at http://www.clark.wa.gov/publicworks/roads/summer.html
