Southwest Washington Behavioral Health and community partners are celebrating Mental Health Month in May with an assortment of activities in Clark, Cowlitz and Skamania counties.

Southwest Washington Behavioral Health is hosting a “Visions of Recovery” poster contest. In Clark County, the public can view entries and vote for favorite submissions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 13 at the Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd.

For more information and poster contest entry forms, visit www.swbh.org or call 360-397-8222.

Another activity, the Recovery Quilt Project, will take place in Vancouver from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 24 at the Center for Community Health.

The Recovery Quilt Project began in 2009 as a way for people living with mental health issues, service providers and other stakeholders to share their perspectives.

Participants are invited to create a square for a quilt displaying Southwest Washington’s collaborative vision of mental health recovery.
