The cold front advertised to move through Sunday did just that, but rainfall was nothing to get excited about — generally less than a tenth of an inch, although some areas had a little more. I recorded 0.03 of an inch here in Salmon Creek.
After a cool morning, today will see a high inching closer to normal — in the mid-60s. Wednesday through the weekend will be in the 70s with maybe an 80-degree day Thursday and possibly another day or two if things work out.
At least it will be dry into the weekend. Might be watering the lawns, and for sure the plants. We will end April nearly an inch below average for rainfall. This will be the second month in a row with below-average rain. March was 2 inches below average. It is nice to dry out but the mindset of watering hasn’t sunken in yet.
Today and again Wednesday morning, lows will be in the 30s for many. Let me know if you get frost.
