• Scott Campbell, governmental and community affairs manager for Waste Connections Inc., has been appointed to the board of the Parks and Recreation Foundation of Vancouver and Clark County. Campbell will serve as a member of the foundation’s golf tournament planning team. He also will help secure sponsorship support for the organization’s community grant program.
• Greater Portland Inc.has hired Alisa Pyszka as the vice president of business recruitment and expansion. Pyszka brings a wealth of experience in business recruitment and regional economic development to the position. Most recently, she served as the economic development division manager for the city of Vancouver, where she led the city’s recruitment efforts and oversaw the development of critical employment lands. In her new role, Pyszka will be responsible for coordinating a proactive business recruitment program for the Portland-Vancouver metro area and providing support for the region’s business retention and expansion activities. Greater Portland Inc is a regional partnership helping companies expand and locate to the Portland-Vancouver metro area.
• Andy Beseda, will lead surveying at AKS Engineering & Forestry Vancouver LLC. Beseda, who has 36 years of surveying experience, was hired as the lead project surveyor for Washington projects. He is a professional land surveyor in Washington and Oregon, and is a member of the Land Surveyors Association of Washington and the National Society of Professional Surveyors. The AKS Engineering & Forestry group of companies is a locally owned firm.
• The Northwest Association for Blind Athletes has named Gene Ward as its new administrative assistant. Ward is a graduate of Washington State University Vancouver and currently attends Portland State University to pursue a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy.
