The 21st annual Spring Paddle Festival offers a chance to explore Vancouver Lake by kayak and canoe, with more than 100 boats ready to try. Aimed at those looking to learn, the event includes demonstrations and discussions ranging from how to choose the right paddle to gearing up for multiday kayak trips, boat repair and paddling with kids.

Clark Public Utilities hosts the 22nd annual fair filled with home improvement ideas, sustainable practices information and expert presentations. There will also be a plant sale, a farmers market and demonstrations. The event includes a tie-in to Clark Public Utilities’ 75th anniversary with an exhibit on the utility’s history.

3. Tongue-in-cheek fun
The Va Va Voom Troupe presents “Everything Old is New Again,” a take on the old-time radio programs. It will be variety show of song parodies, duets, a bit of Elvis, Cousin Minnie Pearl, clog dancing and stand-up comedy. The troupe is made up of adults who are 50 years and older.
