I could really get used to this type of weather, couldn’t you? Clear, sunny days with highs in the 70s, and cool nights. All right, cold maybe for some as the outlying areas are still dropping at or near the freezing point overnight. I saw more frost scattered around early Wednesday.
It appears we will continue dry and mild through Friday, with some changes over the weekend. More clouds and much cooler temperatures and a chance of showers by Sunday are on tap. At least that is how I see things Wednesday afternoon. Forecast models show another cold front dropping down from Canada next Monday that could bring snow levels down to the passes, with more snow in the Cascades. Any precipitation amounts should be on the light side.
The offshore flow of air from east of the mountains was enough to drop the humidity between 20 and 25 percent, seen mostly in the summer time. Although eastern Clark County had easterly winds, in most of the county the winds were from the northwest as the offshore flow fanned over the region.
It was nice and clear down to the coast, with highs in the 70s before cooler ocean air penetrated inland just a bit. Isn’t this how April should be?
