An emergency drill was conducted at the Port of Camas-Wasougal offices in Washougal this morning.

Camas-Washougal Fire Department firefighters and paramedics, as well as port employee and volunteer victims participated in the exercise that involved a scenario where an explosion had occurred in the basement level maintenance shop area of the port offices.

Following the active drill, the agencies participated in a debriefing session to review response procedures, focusing on what was done correctly and what could be improved.

The effort was led by Don MacLardy of Emergency Safety Solutions.
