A confused driver made her way onto the bike and pedestrian path on the Interstate 205 Bridge on Sunday morning before police intercepted her near Government Island.
She entered on the Vancouver side, apparently at the bike entrance at Southeast Evergreen Boulevard and 120th Avenue.
A passer-by noticed the woman in a red sedan and call 911.
Portland police officers responded about 10:40 a.m. and spoke to the woman before escorting her and her car off the path.
Traffic was not disturbed, although some bicyclists were perplexed.
Sgt. Pete Simpson said he did not know where the woman lives or whether she was a Washington resident. He said impairment was not suspected.
