Vancouver-based organic grocer, Chuck’s Produce & Street Market, now has a second store under construction in the Salmon Creek area on the northeast corner of Northeast Highway 99 and 117th Street. The $10 million project is expected to finish up in August to be stocked with groceries and specialty departments, such as organic, locally produced meat and produce, a deli with prepared foods and an artisan bakery. The store opening is expected in mid- to late August, according to Shawn Jarrett, who will manage the new store. The first Chuck’s store opened in 2010 in a former G.I. Joe’s sporting goods store in east Vancouver at Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard and 131st Avenue.
