Price for a gallon of gas drops by a penny locally

The price of a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline in Vancouver is $3.69 this week, down from $3.70 a week ago and $3.82 a month ago. Statewide, Washington’s average price is $3.70, down two cents from a week ago, while Oregon’s average pride is $3.67, also down two cents, according to numbers released Tuesday by AAA Oregon/Idaho.

The national average for regular unleaded dropped six cents for the week to $3.52, and has fallen for the past 13 days, according to AAA. Washington’s average price is the seventh-highest in the nation, and Oregon has the 10th-highest average price, the auto club reported.
