A Battle Ground man was arrested Tuesday morning after he resisted and injured two Battle Ground police officers.

At 7:55 a.m., Battle Ground officers were dispatched to a report that a man wanted by the Vancouver Police Department was at Southwest 20th Avenue and West Main Street. Officers found the suspect, who ran from them and started a foot pursuit, according to a news release from the city of Battle Ground.

When officers caught up with Scott Daniel Vestensen, 35, in the 100 block of Southwest 19th Place, he resisted arrest and two Battle Ground officers were injured. All three were treated at a local hospital and released.

Vestensen was then booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, obstructing a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and possessing drug paraphernalia.
