Dreams can come true for girls who want to attend their prom but can’t afford an expensive dress. A “Dreams Coming Alive” prom dress drive and event is from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Hudson’s Bay High School, 1601 E. McLoughlin Blvd.

The event is open to high school students enrolled in Vancouver Public Schools.

Dresses are $5 — or free, to girls who bring in a dress to donate. Vouchers are available based on need. High school student identification will be required.

The event is sponsored by the Hudson’s Bay National Honor Society.
