Drivers on state Route 14 near Camas will encounter full closures of the West Camas Slough Bridge this weekend while crews complete a routine bridge inspection

The West Camas Slough Bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14.

Drivers can navigate around the closure by following a signed detour route through Camas. Added traffic may cause minor delays in Camas, so drivers should plan extra time to make their trips.

Crews will use an under bridge inspection truck to work underneath the roadway and evaluate the bridge structure. The UBIT takes up most of the highway when in operation, leaving no room for drivers to safely cross the bridge during inspection work.

The SR-14 West Camas Slough Bridge carries an average of 32,000 daily drivers and is inspected every two years.
