Pets of the Week: West Columbia Gorge

The Columbian
Published: April 11, 2013, 5:00pm

I’m Kona, and my buddies are trying to find me a home because my 9-year-old Lab bones could use something more comfortable than a shelter kennel. I love kids and will require slow introductions to other dogs since I’ve been an only dog and am not used to sharing. I’ve had my shots and I’m neutered, and really, I am ready to go! But where?

Hi, I’m Ferguson and I’m a cuddle cat. The problem with living on a farm and being a cuddle cat is that one quickly learns that cows don’t like snuggling. I’m a 4-year-old handsome, short-haired tabby male with a white highlights and faint orange on my belly and paws. I have peacefully coexisted with other animals and am good with gentle children.

These pets are among those available for adoption from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Sunday (or by appointment) at West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, 2675 S. Index Street, Washougal. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and flea treatment. Email outreach@wcghs.org or call 360-335-0941.
