Burgerville on Wednesday celebrated its plan to open a pre-security area restaurant at Portland International Airport, offering $4 meals to travelers for two hours from the Burgerville Nomad vehicle stationed at the airport’s upper-level departure roadway.

The Vancouver-based company, owned by The Holland Inc., expects to open the new airport restaurant in the winter. The company has 39 locations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington and about 1,500 employees.

The Port of Portland Commission approved the Burgerville at the airport’s PDX Oregon Market at its Wednesday meeting.

“This new partnership with the port is filled with possibility for the region,” said Jeff Harvey, Burgerville CEO and President.
