West Hazel Dell — Fifteen Clark College students spent part of their spring break giving back by helping tidy up the Hazel Dell School and Community Garden. As part of their “Spring Break Days of Service,” Volunteer and Service Learning program students spent the afternoon of March 28 with Washington State University Extension Master Gardeners to weed, transplant and prune in the community garden, 511 N.E. Anderson Road. “Clark College has been a fantastic partner. Working in the HD School and Community Garden is a learning experience for the students and makes an incredible difference in the garden,” said Barbara Nordstrom, garden coordinator.
