Battle Ground School District parents and guardians of children who will be 5 before Sept. 1 are encouraged to register them for kindergarten during the 2013-14 school year from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the week of April 15-19 at the primary school the child will attend. If in doubt, call the school district’s boundary office, 360-885-6577.
Bring the child’s birth certificate to verify age.
Required immunization information includes diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis — four to five doses DTaP, last dose must be given on or after fourth birthday; polio — three to four doses, last dose must be given on or after fourth birthday; MMR — two doses, first dose on or after first birthday, second dose, 28 days or more after first dose; HEP-B — three doses must follow spacing requirements from health care provider; varicella or chickenpox — two doses, first dose on or after first birthday, second dose 28 days or more after first dose or health care provider verification of disease.
