Vancouver police are looking to the public for help in identifying a woman accused of stealing another woman’s purse from a Walmart store on Tuesday, April 2.

That morning about 10:55, a woman accidentally left her purse in the restroom at Walmart, 221 N.E. 104th Ave, police said.

Surveillance video captured a white woman leaving the bathroom with the victim’s purse. She is described as approximately 5 foot 4 inches to 5 foot 5 inches tall, 37 to 40 years old and 250 to 300 pounds, wearing a purple shirt and gray hat. She then left the parking lot in an older light-colored vehicle, possibly a Buick.

Anyone with information on the accused thief’s identity should call the Vancouver Police Department at 360-487-7363.
