Washington’s fourth- and fifth-graders have until April 19 to submit art for the Office of the Secretary of State’s 2013 Kids’ Art Contest, and the winning art will be featured on the cover of the 2013 general election voters’ pamphlet.

The theme for this year’s contest is “I am a change maker.” Students must submit their art with an entry form, which can be found on the secretary of state’s website.

The winner of the contest also will receive a visit to his or her school by Secretary of State Kim Wyman.

The voters’ pamphlet is mailed to every registered voter in Washington state. In the 2012 general election, the secretary of state’s office distributed 3.5 million pamphlets.

For more information about the contest, email Julie Anne Behar at julieanne.behar@sos.wa.gov or call 360-725-5795. Entries must be received by mail by April 19.
