What’s the buzz from the world of sports? Here are some items that will have people talking:

So Charles Woodson, a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year, thinks ageism is the reason he hasn’t yet had a team offer him the money he wants to continue playing football.
We assume that Woodson’s comments to the NFL Network are meant to keep his name out there. Surely a veteran of Woodson’s pedigree knows how to play the game — and must understand why teams a reluctant to spend any real money on a 36-year-old.
Then again, maybe not.
Human nature being what it is, Woodson probably still believes he is 28-year-old All-Pro material.

Today, the men’s semifinals will be played in the Georgia Dome, a stadium built for football.
And that’s a shame.
Seems to us that after playing all season in basketball arenas, it’s a mistake to play the most meaningful games of the season — regional finals and the Final Four — in venues where many of the ticket holders will end up watching a big video screen. The shooting background is different from what the players are used to — and might vary from one end of the court to the other.
We understand that money is what has driven the Final Four to stadiums. But it doesn’t mean we have to like it.

Louisville’s Kevin Ware made fun of himself on The Late Show, reading the Top-10 List with David Letterman. Ware claimed his mom freaks out over the littlest things. You know, like a shattered leg.
Among the Top 10 things going through Ware’s mind when he broke his leg: “At least my bracket’s not busted.”
