2) Five decades of songs
The Columbia River Chorus will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special concert. The all-female chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, will perform along with several quartets, showcasing barbershop harmonies. The chorus began in 1962 with 25 members, and has performed in many places from the Statue of Liberty in New York to Austria.

3) Count on invisible friends
Love Street Playhouse presents the comedic story of “Harvey,” about an affable man and his invisible pooka. Elwood P. Dowd introduces his friend Harvey, an unseen creature similar to a more-than-6-foot-tall anthropomorphic rabbit, to everyone he meets. But Veta, Elwood’s social-climbing sister, is tired of being embarrassed by Elwood’s eccentric behavior and decides to have him committed. A comedy of errors ensues.

4) A pack of alpacas
The 15th annual Alpacapalooza sets out to celebrate all things alpaca. The event features breeders and their animals in halter shows and fleece judging, as well as vendors showcasing alpaca products. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the alpacas and learn about the different uses of alpaca hair.

5) ‘Jurassic Park 3D’ bites back
In honor of its 20th anniversary, Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi adventure film gets the 3-D treatment. Eccentric millionaire John Hammond invites dinosaur experts Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler to view his new amusement park, an island full of cloned dinosaurs. Accompanied by the cynical Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and Hammond’s grandchildren, the tour turns into a prehistoric terror as the system holding in the dinosaurs is sabotaged. “Jurassic Park” is rated PG-13.
