Vancouver — The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington has given the Parks Foundation of Clark County $25,000 through its Community Giving Fund.
The grant will restore the Teen Late Night Program on Friday evenings at both Marshall and Firstenburg Community Centers for the 2012-2013 school year. Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation plans for the program to be back up and running by mid-October.
Marshall Center’s “SPOT” and the Firstenburg “Zone” provide teens safe places to hang out and make friends. They offer board and video games, pool tables, ping-pong, movies, open gym and more.
Teen Late Night is free to all middle and high school age students. Identification is required. Visit http://cityofvancouver.us/parks-recreation after Monday for updated information.
