Veterans Court benefit boasts 8 hours of music

Eight hours of free musical entertainment will highlight a Saturday fundraiser for the Clark County Veterans Court.

The benefit event is from 2 to 10 p.m. at Goldies BBQ, 15640 N.E. Fourth Plain Road.

Eight acts, including pop, rock and country vocalists as well as instrumentalists, will perform on the hour.

The music starts at 2 p.m. with Vancouver’s Heather Christina, winner of the regional audition for “The X Factor” talent show on Fox.

There also will be a free exhibit of classic and collectible cars.

Donations will be accepted, and food will be available for purchase.

The veterans court is part of the Clark County therapeutic court system, where the emphasis is not just on punishment, but on putting people on a more successful path in life.
